À peine débarqué en Israël, Ben, un juif orthodoxe de Brooklyn, doit s'envoler pour Alexandrie. Sa mission : célébrer Pessah. Mais Ben manque son avion et échoue en plein désert du Sinaï. L'infortuné tombe alors sur Adel, un Bédouin à la recherche de son chameau. Les deux hommes doivent s'unir pour survivre.
